The Aorist Participle Generally. The masculine plural of this participle is formed by changing the final योव् yāv to येय् yey. Thus, कर्याव् karyŌo, plural कर्येय् karyey (viii. iii. 15). The feminine is formed a yōv to aa yẽya (viii. iii. 16). The feminine singular and the feminine plural are the same. aifa karyōv, fem. sing. and plur. du karyèy“. When the base of the participle ends ts, Thus, teh, z, or ñ, and elides they in a yōv of the masculine singular, the yey of the ay (viii. iii. 18), and the âч yẽy' of the masculine plural becomes Rootkat, spin. Aorist part. katsṬy; fem. ala katsṬy". Thus, Я katsōv; masc. pl. wały woth, arise. Aorist part. wotshōv; masc. pl. utą watsṬy; fem. la wõtshặy". daz, burn. Aorist part. dazōv; masc. pl. atą dazay; fem. ata dazậya. ran, cook. Aorist part. rañōv; masc. pl. całą rañậy; fem. ata rañāye, Most verbs of the third conjugation ending in these letters do not kete, aa vyats, ǹ¶ second conjugation. These verbs form elide they (see page 60). So also the verbs ta ay or va êy, and the feminine in Thus, Rootkets, (second conjugation) be wet; masc. sing. EVE katsyōv; masc. plural a katsậy or ¶¶¶ ketsey. grōts, (third conjugation) be pure; masc. sing. çrōtsyōv; masc. plural grōtsay or ¶¶¶ frōtsēy. a tez, (third conjugation), be sharp; masc. sing. tēzyōv; masc. plural ata tēzāy or añų tēzēy.. The following verbs have irregular aorist participles. The irregularities are, of course, carried through the aorist tense. |
