Item, to Erl Mortoun, in anfuer of his to me anent Kirkcaldie, with a defyr to thank the Erl of Traquhair for his favor in the way to pay my precept. James Murray, 3ounger, went to Court, and fent with him a pacquet to the Lord Panmuir, quhairin to himself, with a letter to Bromhil, to put the Marquifs in mynd of the bakband. Item, a letter to the Erl Roxburgh, in anfuer off his reffavit laitlie. Item, to Juftice Clerk. Item, to Erl Traquhair. This day Sir William Hamiltoun, brother to the Erl Abircorne, went to Court, and with him fent a packet to the Lord Panmuir, quhairin a new prefentatioun of St. Salvator's. Item, a letter to the Erl Stirling, anent the new offer of the fignet for the xiijlb of the

This day the Juftice Court held vpon Patrik Glafs and Neill McFathrik, with 6 otheris of Gilleroyis followeris, takin be L. Cragyvar.

This day packet fent be James Prymrois, and fend in to a pacquet to Erl Stirling; quhairin to himself, to Erl Annandaill, with the letter from his agent in Ireland. Item, to Thomas Maxwell. Item, to Lord Panmuir, with Melgoun and John Pilmuir's letters. The Erl Traquhair returnit from Court; and on 24 May the Counfell Erll Traquhair held, quhairin he wes fworn High Thefaurer.

Packet fent with the Lord Thefaurer's fervand; quhairin the new fignatour of Exchekker dockettit be me, the Commiffioun of the Borderis, the Commiffioun for revifing the book of Raites, and the fignatour of Mr. of Mynthous, blank to be fillit vp be the Counsell, at the return. Item, I fent ane pacquet to Lord Panmuir; quhairin letters of 21 May, and 25 May, and last of 3 Junij; and within it to the Lord Panmuir himself, defyring to fend letters to his freinds of Commiffioun for advancing of Mr Laurence Skynner, minister of Navar, his defyr anent adjoining fum of the lands of Lethnot and Menmuir parochis to Navar. Item, his will anent the gentilmen of Luthriemuir, anent Conftabil of Dundie, and anent Mr Alexander Norie for Masondew.
